A Cotswold solicitors, at The Gatehouse on Dollar Street.
Alison Fielden opened the practice in Cirencester in 1986 and has run it ever since. Nearly forty years on, the firm advises the people and businesses of the Cotswolds on property, family, wills and probate, litigation and notary work, with one solicitor on your file from the first call to the last.
A general practice built for the Cotswolds: the move, the will, the family matter, the lease, the document for abroad. For anything not listed, phone 01285 653261 and we will tell you plainly whether we can help.
Property & business
Conveyancing and commercial property
House moves, re-mortgages, leases
House buying and selling, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, business leases, commercial conveyancing and partnerships. Accredited under the Law Society Conveyancing Quality Scheme, with one solicitor on your file from instruction to completion.
Family
Family and children matters
Divorce, finances, children
Divorce, the ancillary financial settlement, and arrangements for children. We are a Resolution family team, which means we work to resolve matters constructively rather than escalate them. A free family advice surgery runs on the first and third Saturday of the month.
Wills & probate
Wills, probate and powers of attorney
Estates, LPAs, elderly clients
Wills, the administration of estates, and Lasting Powers of Attorney, with particular care taken over elderly-client matters. The same person who drafts your will is the person you speak to when it matters most.
Litigation & notary
Litigation, employment and notary work
Tribunals, settlements, documents for abroad
Settlement agreements, employment advice, representation at tribunals and general litigation including court. Alison Fielden is also a Notary Public, so documents for use overseas can be authenticated here rather than in a larger city.

Notary Public · a thing most firms send you elsewhere for
Documents for use abroad, notarised in Cirencester.
Alison Fielden practises as a Notary Public as well as a solicitor. That means documents intended for use overseas can be authenticated here, in town, rather than sending you to a notary in a larger city.
Authentication of documents for use in another country, with the notarial certificate and seal.
Powers of attorney for abroad and property transactions in another jurisdiction.
Company and personal documents needing a notary before legalisation or apostille.
Phone 01285 653261 to check what to bring, as notarial work usually needs photo identification and the original documents.
